Heinkel He 111
This was my first attempt at a larger size of model, and I chose predictably another Luftwaffe aircraft, this time a bomber the Heinkel He 111 from Airfix. It was a bit more difficult to construct then the fighters that I had previously built but life is nothing without a challenge, overall, I enjoyed putting the effort in.
My family are amazed that I have actually taken up a hobby and for the first time in years they have taken an interest in what I am doing and for Christmas and my birthday they added to my stash of models or should I say projects to be done.
Next up the Henschel Hs 123A-1
I always liked this small aircraft produced by Henschel who up to this time had mainly been involved in heavy industry and would go on to build the infamous Tiger tank. The kit itself is a re-release from Airfix under its Vintage Classics range, re boxed and with the original box artwork from the 1974 a year after I left school for the last time, to walk the path of life, a path that took me away from modelling until now.
